Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take to get my Meat?
    We process meat approx every 4 months, (Feb, June, Oct) depending when animals are ready and when consumers are ready. Let us know how much you are interested in and we will fill your request as soon as we can.
  • When do I pay?
    You can let me know how much you are interested in anytime. Once we have the dates ready, about 3 weeks before, we will send you an invoice for a $200 deposit. The animal will then be processed and weighed. The remaining balance can then be calculated and invoiced. Balance will then need to be paid on delivery.
  • How much do I need to buy?
    We sell in bulk only, hence the cheaper price. You can purchase either a half or a whole side. Each animal weight will vary, but as a guide, weights for a half would be approx 30kg to 40kg meat weight. Let me know how much you prefer and I'll work around it if I can. Meat will be bulk weighted once its packed. Consider splitting with friends or family if its too much.
  • What are my payment options?
    Invoice with bank transfer details will be provided for the deposit. (or card over the phone, with 2% surcharge). The balance can be paid by bank transfer prior OR by card on delivery, with 2% surcharge.
  • How is the total costs worked out?
    The meat portion is weighed after its packed. This is the amount you buy multiplied by $24. Included in your price is all portions of the tender juicy meat. The bones are supplied free as part of the bulk buy. (small amounts of fat trimmings also available for free upon request). Free local delivery included in this price
  • What cuts of meat do I get?
    T bones or Porterhouse, Scotch fillet, Rump, Round, Topside, Blade, Chuck, Brisket, Silverside, Sausages, Mince and a few small Fillets. You are welcome to also have the dog bones and/or soup bones. If you are purchasing a whole side, you will be able to pick which type of cuts you like. ie topside as - roast or BBQ steaks or diced. It's great to be able to go to your freezer and pick any cut you feel like anytime. Enjoy!
  • How will my meat be delivered?
    It will be packed in small portions and delivered personally (locally) in vacuum sealed bags ready for the freezer. (sausages in plain bags) Generally will be delivered fresh, but may be frozen if necessary. ie. for longer delivery distances. Only a phone call away to discuss.
  • How do I order?

  • What if I change my mind? Can I get my deposit back?
    We only process animals once the meat has a home to go to. We do not have a retail store and we cannot bring the animal back to life, so once the deposit is paid, it is not refundable. You can have time to think about your decision to purchase or not. We only request the deposit when it is time to start processing. Your deposit is your commitment to receiving some quality beef ready for the BBQ dinners, at wholesale prices.
  • How much is the Canberra area delivery price?
    $26/kg including personal delivery from the farmer. This price is worked out to include freight to your house in the Canberra area or to an other agreed place.
  • How much is the Melbourne area delivery price
    $25.5/kg including personal delivery from the farmer. This price is worked out to include freight to a common pick up location. This will be based on how many orders in certain areas.
  • Can I buy only sausages or mince
    Yes. I am offering 30kg minimum packs of either sausages, mince or a mix of both. This is not available all the time, only when animals are ready. Let me know if your interested and I will contact you when its available. $21/kg bagged and ready for the freezer.
  • Can I buy only prime cuts
    Unfortunately not. We are sell only selling bulk whole animals. That way there is almost nothing wasted and the whole side is used.
  • Can I buy dog bones?
    Yes, occasionally. Let me know if your interested and when its available, I'll let you know. (Just note that when ordering a side or half side, the bones from that portion you get for free)
